Jacksonville Wedding at the Winterbourne Inn

Lauren & Caleb are an extremely fun couple and I was really excited they hired me as their wedding photographer at the Winterbourne Inn in Jacksonville. The Winterbourne is a southern style home built in the early 1870's and sits right on the edge of the St Johns River. The property features 300+ year old Live Oak trees and beautiful gardens. The views looking out over the water aren't too bad either!

There was a stiff breeze coming in off the water but it was still warm and the sun was shining for Lauren & Caleb's special day. See more of Lauren & Caleb's Jacksonville Wedding on my Instagram. If you are a couple getting married in the next year I would love to connect with you. Feel free to start the conversation by clicking here.

Morning Wedding at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort

Kristen & RJ decided to have a small wedding at a big resort! The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort is a fantastic complex located in beautiful Amelia Island, FL. This was a morning wedding planned to take place on the beach but due to impending rain the ceremony was moved up to the terrace right outside where the reception was to take place. Kristen & RJ drove us around the grounds in a golf cart (very fast by the way!) to take some photos in different places in a short period of time. The weather was very overcast and dark but we made the best of it and had a great time doing it. The ceremony finished just in time as the rain started to come down, hard. After brunch was served their families continued a long-time family tradition of playing trivia.
Congratulations Kristen & RJ!

Treasury on the Plaza Wedding

Ariana & Justin were married at the Treasury on the Plaza this past weekend. What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be a beautiful day, perfect for having a wedding in downtown St Augustine. Ariana & Justin were extremely great to work with and all of their friends and family had a blast at the reception. There are so many good images from this wedding day I could blog hundreds of them but here are a few I grabbed to get out into the world.

Wedding at the Lightner

Billi and Gordy are two incredibly sweet people I had the joy of working with. They got married in the courtyard of the Lightner Museum on a Saturday morning and held a reception at the Bayview Room. It was a small and intimate wedding but fun and full of wonderful people. I really wish they would get married again so I could photograph this wedding all over!

Wedding Photo Shoot On The Beach

Dani & Paul wanted a wedding photo shoot on the beach so we got up very early one morning recently and made it happen. The weather wasn't so cooperative though, it was the foggiest day of the year! We proceeded to do a photo shoot in the fog and of course like everything that involves Dani & Paul we had a fun time.

Their wedding was planned for October 7th, the day Hurricane Matthew hit St Augustine. They ended up having a small wedding with family in Orlando the day before the storm hit but we were determined to make use of the beautiful chuppah Dani's father originally built for the wedding. We chose a morning to all get together on St Augustine Beach for a sunrise photo shoot. The fog was thick but nothing stops Dani & Paul from having fun. Nothing.

Destination Wedding - Dominican Republic

When Nikki & Ryan announced they were having a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic everyone knew they were in for a good time. Cabarete is known for it's night life and water sports and it was the perfect destination for this crew. Ryan is a kiteboarder and has been a long time friend of mine. I couldn't wait to photograph this wedding and spend a week in Cabarete with 50 of my friends.

The wedding was held at the Millennium Resort & Spa in Cabarete.

St Augustine Proposal Photographer

New Year's Eve Proposal

Lew had an idea to propose to his girl in St Augustine on New Year's Eve. He chose the Memorial Presbyterian Church as the site so we started planning far in advance. Once the horse and carriage arrived to let them off he went to work. She had no idea he was planning this and was ecstatic when he got down on one knee and showed her the ring.

Getting engaged is a big deal and something you'll never forget. Why not have a photographer capture the whole thing? St Augustine is a wonderful place to propose to your loved one and I want to make hiring a photographer easy for you. Make the moment something to remember!

St Augustine Beach Proposal

It was New Years Day 2016. David decided to pop the question and called me to photograph it. We stayed in touch and I knew exactly where to be and when. He waited for the signal from me, got down on one knee and changed their lives forever.

I love capturing these moments. It's stressful for everyone that knows ahead of time but having photos of the big moment are SO worth it!

Fitness Photography in St Augustine at GOHQ

Since I spend a lot of time sitting at a computer (like right now) and to keep myself from becoming stiff I frequent a local gym owned by a friend called Go Headquarters or GOHQ for short. Having been a regular there for almost 2 years I’ve done over 150 classes and frequent the open gym during the week. I really like the people and have made many friends there. It’s not Crossfit or straight up weightlifting, I like to call it “functional mobility training”. Whatever you want to call it, it works for me. I’m not huge or ripped but I work my cardio and strength to it’s limits quite often. How that relates to making photographs? I’m not sure… but it keeps me motivated. Fitness Photography is a ton of fun for me.

On several occasions this year I came into the gym and shot the trainers doing their thing. I’ve always been a fan of shooting things you know and this is something I’m familiar with. Here are some images from those sessions at GOHQ.
